39th Space Symposium

CNES federating the French space ecosystem in Colorado Springs

From 8 to 11 April, CNES will be at the 39th Space Symposium in Colorado Springs to showcase the French civil, military and commercial space ecosystem, with participants from both the public and private sectors in attendance. Last year this symposium brought together more than 15,000 representatives of the U.S. and international space ecosystem, from space agencies, governments, the defence community, industry and commercial corporations. CNES was also there with a booth hosting numerous French firms, and is on hand again this year with renewed ambition.

For this 39th edition, some 40 firms, organizations and institutions will be in the France Pavilion initiated by CNES, a 55-sq.m. space accommodating business meetings and events focused on a range of themes, as well as addresses and discussions. The aim is to spotlight firms, get CNES’s institutional partners involved and highlight the agency’s actions to promote France’s vibrant national space programme, its industry’s potential and the commitment of public stakeholders. With the support of its partners, CNES intends to make the France pavilion a regular feature and to assure a sustained presence at this yearly event in the medium and long term.

Accompanying CNES at the symposium are: ACRI-ST, Ad'Occ, Air Liquide, Aldoria, ArianeGroup, Aubert & Duval, Business France, Cailabs, French Space Command (CDE), CyberinFlight, French defence procurement agency (DGA), Eviden, Exens, Exotrail, GIFAS, Infinite Orbit, Invest-in-Toulouse, Latitude, Leanspace, Look Up Space, Miratlas, NewSpace Factory (CALLISTO, COMAT, CS GROUP, EREMS, SYNTONY, TRAD), Oledcomm, Pangea Aerospace, Sodern, Sophia Engineering, SpaceLocker, Tekever, Thrust Me, Tyrex and U-Space.

CNES Chairman & CEO Philippe Baptiste will be taking part in various events, including the Space Leaders Spotlight where he will be speaking alongside other space agency heads about space exploration and supporting the space ecosystem, and a panel session on satellite data serving climate science and the importance of cooperation in this area. He will also be holding a series of bilateral meetings with his U.S. and international counterparts.

Founded in 1984, the symposium is a key event for the international space community and its principal institutional, military and commercial players. Organized by the Space Foundation, it brings together space agency leaders to debate the latest technical developments and trends in the space sector.
