CNES at EUCASS 2015 (European Conference for Aeronautics and Space Sciences)
EUCASS, which first took place in Moscow in 2005, convened for its sixth edition today. EUCASS is the premier European conference bringing together stakeholders from across aeronautics and space research. It aims to foster ties between research scientists, academia and industry, and to promote the sector by developing synergies between these two disciplines. It also gives agencies and contractors the opportunity to present their programmes and offers scientists a broad view of the most recent advances achieved in Europe. For this sixth edition, some 600 participants submitted abstracts on science, R&T and innovation.
In his opening speech, Jean-Yves Le Gall said: “It is a great pleasure for me to be here with you for this unique event. I am also glad to see representatives from numerous countries alongside scientists and industry contractors, including this year from Russia, the USA and Japan. Our sector is today undergoing a seismic shift and we must join forces, work together and look to the future to ensure that Europe’s launch services industry stays ahead. That will mean more optimization and more innovation, through Ariane 6 and Vega-C, and through long-term research, with innovation as a unifying thread.”
