CNES issues request for information on new-generation data-collection instrument

CNES is issuing a request for information (RFI) to initiate a technical dialogue on a new-generation data-collection instrument offering much lower power consumption and mass than the current generation, with a view to flying it in the short and medium term on nanosatellites or microsatellites.

This request for technical dialogue is aimed at all industry stakeholders with the capability to develop flight instruments and systems for reception and digital processing of radiofrequency signals from small fixed or mobile ground transmitters operating in frequency bands from 156 MHz to 1.7 GHz.

Certain elements of this technical dialogue could serve as input for current and future studies at CNES into new data-collection systems (aimed at fielding an operational system in 2025).

Industry stakeholders who wish to take part in this technical dialogue are invited to respond before 4 March 2016, indicating their identity, core business, experience in developing radiofrequency instruments and in signal processing, and their analysis of the challenges posed by the technology revolution in this domain.

To respond to the request for technical dialogue, download the application file
ref. A4-INS-ME-0863-CNES from https://marches.cnes.fr/.
Questions will be submitted and answers posted via this website.
