CNES at OPTRO 2014 International Symposium on Optronics in Defence and Security

Tuesday 28 January, CNES President Jean-Yves Le Gall delivered the opening speech at OPTRO 2014, the 6th International Symposium on Optronics in Defence and Security, where he met key global players in optronics to discuss the future implications of this specialist field for space.

OPTRO 2014, the International Symposium on Optronics in Defence and Security, features prominently on the world optronics calendar and is the leading event of its kind in Europe, supported by CNES.

3AF, the renowned French aerospace society, notably through its Optronics technical committee, is organizing this 6th edition of the symposium in Paris from 28 to 30 January.

After the event, Jean-Yves Le Gall stated: “CNES is very honoured to have been asked to open this 6th edition of the International Symposium on Optronics in Defence and Security. This event gave us the opportunity to meet key global players in optronics and raise awareness of its importance within the scientific community, as optronics is a core element of many major CNES programmes. We must work together as early as possible in the development cycle to remain the most innovative and the most competitive in this field. OPTRO 2014 will help us greatly to achieve this goal.”
