Gilles Rabin appointed CNES Director of Innovation, Applications and Science

President and thereby Director General of CNES, Jean-Yves Le Gall has appointed Gilles Rabin as the centre’s new Director of Innovation, Applications and Science. The appointment follows that of Lionel Suchet as CNES’s Associate Director General and is effective immediately.

Announcing the appointment, CNES President Jean-Yves Le Gall said:

“Following Lionel Suchet’s appointment as Associate Director General, I have decided to appoint Gilles Rabin as CNES’s new Director of Innovation, Applications and Science.”

Gilles’ entire carrier has prepared him perfectly for this new mission. His training as an economist and his dual French/German culture will provide him with the skills required to pursue the development of innovation and applications at CNES, while maintaining the unmatched quality of our science programme. He will be supported by the senior executive team into which he has integrated so well since coming to CNES and which he now leads.”
