CP001-2009 - CNES APPOINTMENTS

Pierre DENTAND has been appointed Head of the Accounting Directorate at the Centre National d’Etudes Spatiales from 1 January 2009.

Pierre Dentand was born on 29 October 1957 and is a graduate of the Ecole Nationale du Trésor and also obtained a DESS in corporate management from the Institut d’Administration des Entreprises in Grenoble in 1982 and a Masters in economics in 1980

Pierre Dentand joined CNES in 1991, first as Manager of the French Guiana Space Centre Accounting Department from 1991 to 1995 and then as Assistant Director in the Accounting Directorate at the Toulouse Space Centre in 1996.

From 1985 to 1990 Pierre Dentand was an Inspector with the General Directorate for Government Finances, responsible for auditing public bodies in the Seine-et-Marne département.

Between 1982 and 1983 he was a financial adviser to the National Water Board of Djibouti.
